Backwards, Mommy: HBO changes its name again from “Max” to “HBO Max”

HBO is changing the name of its streaming platform again, and now, instead of calling it “Max,” it will once again be called “HBO Max,” as it had been called before, back when the world was simpler and dragons still hadn't disappointed.
The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Discovery executives, who confirmed that people never stopped calling them HBO, and that the change to "Max" was not well received, far surpassing the rejection of name changes by banks or even Danna Paola when she goes by "Danna."

This isn't the first time the platform has changed its identity, as it has previously been known as: "HBO," "HBO Go," "HBO Now," "HBO Max," "Max," "the place where The Sopranos are shown," and now, once again, "HBO Max."
“What is dead cannot die. HBO Max is coming back soon. Same app, almost new name,” reads a social media post from the channel where you can watch Chernobyl no matter how many times they rebrand the platform.
“It’s really a reaction to having been in the market for two years, evaluating what works and building on it,” explained Casey Bloys, HBO’s president of content.
It's worth mentioning that the channel has built a reputation for having impeccable series, so regardless of what they call it, people keep paying for the service because, well, the good ones are there.
